To understand the target market’s perceptions and influences around home buying, warranties and insurance, my team and I used social listening and insight building techniques to solidify our findings. As social media has become one of the highest influences of Millennials, the group of those who are within prime homebuying age, we analyzed various platforms and looked for online personalities who were dishing out homebuying advice and tips. Being mindful that Millennials were young during the Great Recession and may possess larger financial debts, we had to interpret how a big purchase such as homebuying may impact them and what kind of role Travelers Insurance played in the process.
